When selecting wooden door hinges, three core points need to be considered: first, consider the load-bearing capacity.
For a single door weighing ≤ 40kg, choose a 2-piece hinge with a thickness of 2.5mm, and for 40-60kg, choose a 3-piece hinge with a thickness of 3mm;
Secondly, depending on the material, 304 stainless steel is recommended for indoor doors (with good rust resistance), while zinc alloy and surface coating (with strong weather resistance) can be selected for outdoor doors;
Finally, when it comes to bearings, priority should be given to double bearing hinges, which are silent when turned on and off and have a longer service life.
There are three steps to avoid wire slippage:
① Pre drill holes, select the corresponding drill bit according to the screw diameter (such as selecting a 3.2mm drill bit for M4 screws), with a hole depth slightly smaller than the screw length;
② Apply a small amount of butter or thread glue to reduce the resistance of screwing in;
③ Control the force, manually tighten until the screw head fits the workpiece, then adjust the power tool to low speed and tighten 1- 2 turns to avoid excessive force damaging the thread.
Insufficient support of hydraulic braces is often caused by aging internal seals leading to gas/hydraulic oil leaks, and maintenance is generally not recommended.
The reason is that maintenance requires professional equipment to be re inflated/oiled, and the sealing is difficult to restore to the original factory standard, which may lead to further failure in the future. It is recommended to directly replace the product with the same specification.
When replacing, attention should be paid to the rod length (center distance between the installation holes at both ends), stroke, and load-bearing parameters, which should be consistent with the original product.
It can be identified through the three steps of "look, touch, and try":
① Look at the appearance, the high-quality coating surface is uniform and bright, without bubbles, scratches, color differences, and no exposed edges;
② Touch the texture with your hand, the time is smooth without burrs, and the edges and corners transition smoothly;
③ Wear resistant test, wipe 10 times with a clean soft cloth dipped in a small amount of alcohol. If the coating does not peel or fade, the quality is good. In addition, it is possible to check whether the product has a test report of "salt spray test ≥ 48 hours", which ensures that the rust prevention of products that meet the standards is more reliable.
There are four common reasons:
① Installation deviation, the left and right slide rails are not on the same horizontal line, or the gap with the drawer side is uneven, and the screw positioning needs to be readjusted;
② There are foreign objects in the track, such as sawdust and screw debris, which can be cleaned with a brush and then coated with a small amount of lubricating oil;
③ The load-bearing capacity exceeds the standard, and the marked load-bearing capacity of the slide rail does not match the actual weight of the drawer. It is necessary to replace the slide rail with a higher load-bearing specification;
④ The track is deformed. If the slide rail is compressed and bent by external force, a new track needs to be replaced.
